Boat show Düsseldorf 2013 review

Main trends in sailing & cruising yachts - More power & more comfort

Sailing yachts trends 2013- Bigger rudder blades for more controllability and better steering. New bigger and deeper blades need less attention for steering and let bigger heeling angles without losing control.

- Higher sails - Close reefed is out! Narrow and high sails plans with less overlapping areas are favoured. More and more carbon masts are coming.

- More light - Lots of hatches and hull windows let the daylight enter into the saloon. Even the new small sailing boats, which we highly recommend for purchase and charter management plans, do not have a cellar atmosphere anymore. Light-coloured wood for interiors is also preferred.

- Nozzle instead of boom - More and more performance boats are equipped with a telescopic bowsprit. The bigger distance between gennaker and main sail is very effective and the jibe is easier.

- Hidden sheet ropes for more space on deck.

Our favourite yachts from the latest Düsseldorf boat show

Hanse 575 sternThis year we were completely impressed by the new Hanse. The small HANSE 345 is one of the greates sailing yachts for purchase of its size (10 metres). Hanse managed to include a double steering wheel and many optional extras to make the boat extremely owner and charter friendly.

The flagship HANSE 575 is probably the most spacious sailing boat among bareboat charter yachts. We were amazed by its design and many great ondeck solutions.

For our partner charter fleet in Croatia we are searching for new owners for Hanse models 345, 495 & urgently 575!!!
