Cruising Area & Coastline
Thailand is one of the worldwide favourite regions for water sports activities. Yacht Charters is a popular recreation activity there. The Similan Islands are supposed to be the best diving spot on Earth. Above all, this place is famous for the unique co-existance of two completely different ecosystems on different coasts of the same island.
The wetsern coast has sand beaches and hard coral formations that are going down to 30 – 40 metres under the water surface. The best way to observe the inhabitants of the reefs is to sail and swim down the current, along the coral formations. Some of the passages are covered with soft coral “parks” looking like huge fans on the bottom of the ocean. Diving is easy in these spots, as well as navigating, giving the possibility to everyone to explore his personal underwater area. Yacht Charters guests will be amazed by this area.

The eastern coast has more extreme conditions for diving and sailing. There are many whirlpool areas around the huge granite boulders. The biggest boulders may have the size of a city house. These smooth round rocks frame grandiose formations with holes and ledges. Looking to the rocks from the water will impress you – there is no other spot like this in the world. Some rocks are covered with very seldom vericoloured corals. The corals are much more colourful than you can imagine. In some areas, there are so many of them that you would not see the rocks under. In the spaces between the rocks, the biggest coral fans reach the width of 3 metres.
Weather & Winds
Thanks to its situation near the equator Thailand is the ideal region for Yacht Charters all the year through. The average air temperature is 28 degrees Celsius. The high season is the period from November till April, when the monsoon is blowing from the north-east. In this dry and quiet period, the water is especially clear. The rain period, when the monsoon is blowing from the south-west, also attracts Yacht Charters guests, as the cloud formations between the high rocks in the Phang Nga Bay are fantastic and there are plenty of safe bays.
