Weather & Winds

On the Seychelles, the average air temperature is never less than 25 degrees Celsius. The winds are moderate. Yacht Charters in this region is not connected with navigating troubles and is appropriate for beginners.

Highlights

One of the outer islands called Aldabra is famous for its impressing coral formation, which is supposed to be the biggest in the world. Cousteau once said that Aldabra was his favourite and the most beautiful place on Earth.

The neighbouting islands La Digue and their splendid sand beaches became famous all over the world after the commercial campaign by Bacardi.

Silhouette is an island with untouched nature. There are absolutely no roads and no cars. The island is almost uninhabited – there is just one small village and a turtle farm, which is open for visitors.

Praslin has some great beaches, such as Anse Volbert and Anse Lazio with coconut palms. Yacht Charters guests can also make a guided walk through the palm jungle Vallee de Mai, which is UNESCO world heritage.

Looking for some contrast to the idyllic lonely beaches, Yacht Charters guests will find shops, restaurants and street life on the main island Mahe. In the capital town Victoria there is a nice market place. Our tip: “Pirate’s Arms” is the perfect place to observe the street life of Victoria.

In the south of the island, Yacht Charters crews shall not miss the great beach Anse Takamaka. Our tip: the restaurant “Chez Batista” right at the beach.    
  
How to get there

There are regular flights by Air Seychelles or Condor from Frankfurt to Mahe. You can get from Mahe to other islands by a small airplane or a boat shuttle. However, the only Yacht Charters base is situated in Mahe, so you can comfortably reach each island destination with your charter yacht.
